Does this product need a registration check?
GOEIC's registration service covers producers and trademark owners for goods listed under Decree 43/2016 and its amendments. Check the exact product, intended use and applicable import arrangement against the current official scope.
Use the product description and specifications together. A broad label such as textiles or machinery is not enough to decide applicability. Resolve an uncertain product scope before treating the supplier as ready to ship.

Which supplier identity should you check?
Separate the manufacturer, trademark owner, seller and exporter in the proposed transaction. Ask which registered entity and product coverage the shipment will rely on, then compare that information with the commercial documents.
If a trader sells another manufacturer's goods, explain the relationship rather than assuming the seller's name establishes registration coverage. The supplier or its representative should resolve any registration mismatch with GOEIC.
What supporting information should remain current?
GOEIC's official guide sets out supporting documents for factory and trademark-owner registration, including identity, product and quality-certificate information. Use the current guide for the applicable application or renewal.
As a practical readiness check, identify documents with expiry dates, changes in entity details and changes in product scope. Ask the responsible supplier or representative to confirm that the registration record and supporting evidence remain current.
Is GOEIC registration the same as CargoX or ACI?
These checks serve different purposes. GOEIC registration concerns the applicable supplier and product scope. NAFEZA's ACI guidance describes advance shipment information and the foreign exporter's CargoX document workflow.
A verified CargoX account does not by itself establish GOEIC registration coverage. Likewise, a supplier's GOEIC registration does not replace the shipment's ACI and document preparation.
How can Al Rouby help before dispatch?
We review readiness information, flag inconsistencies and coordinate the preparation questions with the Egyptian importer and overseas supplier. This connects registration checks to the document review and clearance plan.
The supplier or its representative handles registration applications and renewals. Al Rouby's role on this page is readiness checking and coordination; GOEIC decides registration and the applicable controls.

Keep the three preparation checks separate
| Check | Question to resolve |
|---|---|
| Product applicability | Does the exact product and intended import arrangement fall within the current registration scope? |
| Supplier registration | Which registered entity and covered products support this shipment? |
| Shipment preparation | Do invoice, packing, supplier identity and applicable ACI data describe the same shipment? |
Before treating the supplier as ready
- Identify the exact product and intended use.
- Distinguish manufacturer, trademark owner and seller.
- Confirm the relevant registered entity and product coverage.
- Check changes and supporting-document validity with the supplier.
- Prepare the separate ACI and shipment-document handover.
Frequently asked questions
Applicability depends on the goods, current official scope and import arrangement. Check the exact shipment rather than applying one registration rule to every supplier.
Explain the seller, manufacturer and trademark-owner relationships and check the relevant registration coverage with GOEIC. Do not assume coverage from the seller's name alone.
